Memory Card Forensics

Memory cards are available in many forms.
They are found in digital cameras, mobile telephones and other portable devices.


These types of memory cards include, but are not limited to, the following cards:

               - SD (Secure Digital)

               - Micro SD

               - Mini SD

               - M2 (Memory Stick Micro)

               - SHDC (Secure High Digital Capacity)

               - Sony ProDUO


Also included within memory card forensics are USB Flash Drives. These devices are used as external storage media and can store large amounts of data.

Typically these are on the memory cards found within mobile devices data such as images on a Digital Camera (Sytech - Digital Camera Forensics), or personal based media and audio on a Mobile Phone handset (Sytech - Mobile Phone Forensics) , an MP3 player (Sytech - MP3 Forensics) or a Personal Electronic Device (Sytech - Personal Electronic Device Forensics).

It is possible however that any form of digital / electronic data be stored upon them.
